Since its creation more than 110 years ago, the Ardmore Police Department has fostered an empathetic atmosphere coupled with the philosophy of Community Policing to create a more conducive environment for the culturally diverse population that we police. Since 1893 with a City Marshall being appointed as the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for the community of Ardmore, it has evolved to this present state with specific divisions dealing with the intricate components of crime and the prevention thereof.
